I'm a graduate student in clinical psychology at UC Berkeley. I work with Allison Harvey and Dacher Keltner. I also work with Sheri Johnson at the University of Miami. I am currently completing my clinical internship and applying for jobs.
My research interests focus on understanding the role of emotion in psychopathology and also how psychopathology alters emotion, with a particular interest in positive emotions. My work thus far has examined (1) positive emotion disturbance across psychological disorders (with a particular interest in bipolar disorder) and (2) more basic work on physiological and behavioral markers of distinct positive emotion states in healthy samples. I use experimental, correlational, and longitudinal designs and employ a multi-method approach that assesses emotional functioning at biological (psychophysiology, neurological case studies, and ultimately fMRI) behavioral (FACS, postural coding), and experiential (self-report, narrative) levels.
